In accordance with Texas Local Government Code, Chapter 43, the City of Weatherford, Texas, proposes to institute voluntary annexation proceedings on "Wossum Ranch 2020" approximately 80.17 acres situated in and being a portion of the T & P RR COMPANY SURVEY, SECTION No. 99, ABSTRACT No. 1446; J. J. BRADFORD SURVEY, ABSTRACT No. 1931 and the J. WOOSLEY SURVEY, ABSTRACT No. 1641, Parker County, Texas and being all that certain lot, tract or parcel of land described by deed to Castlemont Homes recorded in Doc No. 201822717, Official Records, Parker County, Texas, and approximately 5,100 feet of adjacent East Loop roadway from the city limits northwest approximately 5,100 feet and adjacent to Wossum Ranch Phase 3 to enlarge and extend the boundary limits of the city. If approved, the completed annexation will expand the City’s extra-territorial jurisdiction (ETJ). New area to be included in the City of Weatherford ETJ is that area generally north of Hidden Creek Loop and Misty Ridge Lane and includes Deer Path Lane, Sandy Creek Trail, Kachnovich Lane, Green Branch Road, Ponderosa Lane, Stonebridge Drive, Gun Barrel Road, and portions of Baggett Road, Lamesa Drive, High View Drive, Stonebridge Lane, Kirkland Lane and Wells Lane. According to Sec. 42.001 of the Texas Local Government Code, the legislature declares it the policy of the state to designate certain areas as the ETJ of municipalities to promote and protect the general health, safety, and welfare of persons residing in and adjacent to the municipalities. Municipal ordinances applicable within the ETJ are those concerning plats and subdivision of land contained within Title XI, Subdivision Ordinances, of the Municipal Code of the City of Weatherford. A map of the proposed voluntary annexation area and the area that will be newly included in the City’s ETJ is available in the City Secretary's Office and on the City’s Website at www.weatherfordtx.gov under “I Want To…” then View then Public Notices.
