The Keynote Speaker of the event was Carlton Schwab, President / CEO of the Texas Economic Development Council, Austin, TX, and was introduced by Mayor Joe Tison of the City of Weatherford who is also the President of the Board of the Weatherford Economic Development Authority, Inc.

The annual event continues the 2nd annual recognition of the Industrial / Manufacturer “BUSINESS OF THE YEAR” in 3 employment size categories, for outstanding growth achievement, community involvement, unique product innovation / marketing or outstanding employment practices. 
In addition to the three "BUSINESS OF THE YEAR" awards, the Business Retention and Expansion, BRE, "VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR" was also acknowledged. Ralonna Fitzgerald, VP, The Bank of Weatherford, was awarded a plaque for her outstanding efforts to retain and recognize existing businesses through monthly visits by volunteers to our existing industrial manufacturing and commercial businesses.

Mr. Randy Cox, Chairman Elect, Weatherford Chamber of Commerce was Emcee for the day and introduced the presentations of "BUSINESS OF THE YEAR."
