Test Dates for Police Officer Applicants

Upcoming Test Date

  • The Weatherford Police Department will be testing for the position of Police Officer on Saturday, September 17, 2016.  The testing will be held at the Mount Pleasant School located at 213 Raymond George Way, Weatherford, Texas.  The test will start promptly at 9:00 a.m. and will include both a written and physical test. Workout clothing is the recommended attire.  A photo ID is required.  You must also either currently hold a Texas Peace Officer license through TCOLE or be within 45 days of graduation from a Texas police academy in order to participate in the testing.

Test Information

  • Officer applicants must test to be considered for employment.
  • Written test includes vocabulary, reading comprehension, basic math, essay and stress tests.
  • Physical test includes 1.5 mile timed run, push-ups in one minute and sit-ups in one minute.
  • The physical tests will be graded based upon standards outlined by The Cooper Institute.
  • Come dressed for the physical agility test. This is not an interview.
  • You must pre-register for the test.  
  • Your application must be completed and turned in by 1:00 p.m. the Friday before the test.
  • You must bring a picture ID.
