Stray Days, 1920's Market

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 24 - 10 A.M. - 5 P.M.

Known today as First Monday Trade Days in Weatherford, in the mid 1800s, local farmers, ranchers, and merchants would buy, sell or trade their livestock, handmade items, produce, and other supplies to large crowds during the monthly legal trials at the courthouse. Initially this event was known to all as a monthly “Stray Day” sale which has now evolved into a market event offering traditional selling opportunities for vendors to showcase their items coupled with innovative attractions to interest visitors.
