Programs for Adults

Monday, July 17th, 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

In this class, you will apply the 8 steps of the Zentangle® Method as you confidently create your own "tile" with deliberate strokes of a pen. Don't worry about "mistakes". There is no right or wrong, only infinite possibilities, all of them exquisite. The tangles presented will be different from the previous classes and you do not need any Zentangle experience to participate. This class will be taught by Donna MJ Kinsey, from the Kinsey Quilt Studio in Weatherford. Donna is a Certified Zentangle Teacher. No cost to attend. To register, please email: or call 214-763-9953

Understanding Shakespeare

Understanding Shakespeare

Monday, July 24th, 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

We've all heard of The Bard, we may have even seen some movies based on his plays -- but how well do we actually understand the plays?  Are you just nodding through the discussion, not really knowing what's going on?

Well, it's time to get past the words and to the meaning of the plays!
What is a monologue and why should I learn one?
The line sounds impressive and all, but what is she trying to say?
Did you know how many words and phrases are first found written in one of Shakespeare's plays?

The best way to learn is from the Bard himself -- or at least someone dressed like him!
