Library Holiday Closing

The Weatherford Public Library will be closed Monday, January 21st for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The library will open again for normal business at 10:00 am Tuesday, January 22nd, 2019. Fines will not accrue on any day that the library is closed. Book and video drops are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

What We Do

The Weatherford Public Library provides free library services for Weatherford and the Parker County community and informs, enriches, supports, and empowers its citizens by promoting lifelong learning opportunities and a love of reading.

Services We Provide

  • Provide access to a collection of approximately 90,000 items in book, magazine, newspaper, audiobook, compact disc, DVD, eBook, eAudiobook, and digital magazine format.
  • Host meetings of community groups and organizations.
  • Provide educational and entertainment programming, including weekly storytimes.
  • Provide free Internet access to the public.
  • Reference desk is available to help answer questions and assist in research.
  • Genealogy department is available to help trace and document ancestry.
